Looking for a movie that will make you laugh and get you right in your feelings? Look no further than the Will Smith and Eva Mendes-fronted film Hitch. Dating coach Alex “Hitchens” (Smith) doesn’t know what he’s in for when he starts dating Sara Melas (Mendes), and the ensuing chaos is cute and comical.

As tensions rise between Hitch and Sara, they have a bit of a food fight in Hitch’s apartment involving a lovely spinach salad. While this strawberry, fennel and arugula salad looks similar, it’s far too pretty (and tasty) to toss on someone’s head.

During their food fight, Sara weaponizes cauliflower by turning the crudités into projectiles hurtling toward Hitch’s head. We certainly don’t recommend doing that, but we do recommend this balsamic and Parmesan roasted cauliflower.

For the main dish of the evening, channel Hitch and Sara’s double date with her boss by serving up a little shrimp carbonara. Just make sure no one has any allergies heading into the evening, and have a bottle of Benadryl and a bendy straw handy just in case.
