Since we’re not good at keeping secrets, we need to share our homemade Snickers bar recipe with you! We suggest that you make several batches and give these copycat Snickers to your closest candy-loving friends and family members. You’ll be proclaimed as their sweet tooth satisfying hero!
We’re not going to claim that this is a fuss-free recipe, but we will guarantee that once you master the copycat layering technique, you’ll want to make these candy bars every week!

Start with one cup of chocolate chips
Place chocolate chips in a double boiler or a small heatproof bowl over simmering water.
Drop three tablespoons of peanut butter onto chocolate chips
Generously add three tablespoons of peanut butter to your chocolate chips and stir occasionally.
Mix together until melted completely
Continue stirring the mixture until it is smooth, creamy and completely melted. You want it to easily pour into the bottom of your baking dish.

Take your caramel cubes and pour them into a hot saucepan, but be ready to start stirring immediately.
Add heavy whipping cream to the caramel in the pan

Stir constantly, until the caramels are melted, to avoid scorching the mixture.

Yield 12-15 bars
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 10 tablespoons creamy peanut butter, divided
- 7 ounces marshmallow fluff
- 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup dry roasted unsalted peanuts
- 11 ounces caramels
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Use cooking spray to coat the bottom of a 11x7-inch baking dish. Position a piece of parchment paper in the bottom of the dish and up the long sides.
- Place one cup of chocolate chips and three tablespoons of peanut butter in a double boiler or a small heatproof bowl over simmering water. Melt chocolate and peanut butter, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Place dish in the freezer for two to three minutes or until it hardens.
- In a medium bowl, place marshmallow fluff, four tablespoons (1/4 cup) peanut butter, and powdered sugar. With a wooden spoon or spatula, stir the mixture until it forms a soft dough. If it is too stiff, soften it with a tablespoon of cream or milk.
- Remove the nougat from the bowl and place it on top of the chocolate layer. Using your fingers, pat the nougat down over the entire surface.
- Sprinkle peanuts over the nougat and poke them down using gentle pressure.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the caramels and heavy cream. Cook, stirring constantly, until the caramels are melted. Immediately pour caramel mixture over the nougat, spreading it all over with the back of a wooden spoon.
- Place dish in the refrigerator for five minutes or until the caramel layer is set.
- In a double boiler or a small heatproof bowl, combine remaining one cup chocolate chips and three tablespoons of peanut butter. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the caramel layer, spreading it evenly.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, or until the chocolate layer is set.
- Using a sharp knife, cut into bars. Serve.
