Thanksgiving without dinner rolls just isn’t Thanksgiving. Sure, you can buy premade dinner rolls from a bakery, or biscuit dough and bake them up. But nothing is better than warm and flaky homemade rolls right out of the oven! Here is the best basic dinner roll recipe for Thanksgiving dinner.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 package Fleischmann's RapidRise Yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Mix together 3/4 cup flour, un-dissolved yeast, the salt and sugar. In a saucepan, heat up the milk, water, and butter until warm, but not boiling.
- Slowly pour the heated milk mixture to flour mixture. Beat with an electric mixture for 2 minutes at medium speed. Mix in 1/4 cup flour and beat for 2 more minutes on high. Stir in the remaining flour.
- Knead on a lightly floured surface until flat, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover then with plastic wrap and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
- Separate the dough into 12 equal balls. Place in a greased 8-inch round pan. Cover with a towel and allow to rise in a warm place until they double in size, about 30 minutes.
- Bake in preheated 375 degrees F oven for 20 minutes or golden.
