Think back to your middle- and high-school days. Did you have a locker? Was it decorated with maybe some stickers, a couple pictures, a little mirror… and a bunch of books? Well, we’re here to tell you that locker decorations are not what they used to be.

Nowadays, kids can really show off their personal styles and create lockers that, if just a little bigger, would almost be nice enough to live in.

Level 1: Just the basics

• For hanging special pictures and notes, these emoji magnets and fun animal magnets should do the trick.
• Vanity mirrors are convenient for girls and boys alike, and there’s a lot to choose from. Here’s a pretty pink mirror and a sleeker black-framed one for starters.
• Having a place to store school supplies such as pens, pencils and notes may not be exciting, but it can be useful. These magnetic storage containers can help keep your scholar organized, but don’t be surprised if they end up holding candy and other non-essentials.
• With so many folders and binders and books to carry and store, your child will likely appreciate the extra space this stacking storage shelf frees up.
• Does she or he have lots of sweaters, shirts, jerseys, hats or jackets to hang up, and not enough hooks? Get some stick-on hooks — made with a special kind of adhesive that will make them easy to remove at the end of the school year.

Level 2: For the style maven

Lockers aren’t known for their colorful interiors, unless drab tan is your thing. So, we start with the bare walls and add — what else? — some wallpaper. This magnetic wallpaper adds fun visual appeal to your child’s locker.

Can’t have plain floors with flashy walls now, can you? A little carpet should do the trick.

No locker is complete without a little touch of lighting — maybe, say, a chandelier. Yes, a shimmery, battery-powered chandelier.

While a dazzling locker may not help your favorite student study or take tests, making their locker extra can at least make long school days a little more personalized — and a lot more fun.
