Monique’s Southern sweet potato pie recipe

The hearty, sweet tuber can be used in an endless variety of ways from French fries to pancakes, but many people don’t realize what a superior pie it can produce.

Monique’s take on the classic recipe combines the creamy orange flesh of the potato with butter, evaporated milk, brown sugar, cinnamon and spices to create the perfect bite of fall flavors. A touch of warm vanilla and a splash of zingy citrus wakes up the taste buds.
