But this breakfast charcuterie board is sure to make for a morning he will never forget. So whether you’re celebrating Father’s Day, his birthday or maybe just surprising him with some unexpected love, we’ll walk you through how to recreate this giant, manly man breakfast charcuterie board that will take your dad brunch to the next level.

First things first, let’s talk about these adorable letter dishes we found on Amazon. They are Ivy Lane 6-inch ceramic dishes in white. What’s a dad charcuterie board without some personalized love?

We filled these dishes with syrup and jam, but you could also go for some melted butter, Nutella or peanut butter, depending on your dad’s favorites.

We then loaded up this board with tons of goodies. Here’s the breakfast charcuterie board breakdown:

• Belgian-style waffles — we cheated and bought them in the freezer section of the grocery store, but if you’re feeling like being extra extra, you can, of course, make these. We recommend our red velvet waffles recipe. This board is all about going over the top, right?
• Mini pancakes — these are super easy to make with the help of a dry mix. We stacked them and topped them with whipped cream. Fair warning: Don’t top them with whipped cream until right before you dig into this board. The whipped cream will melt if left sitting.
• Bagels.
• Doughnuts — we used doughnut holes which we layered on skewers for presentation and ease of eating. We also got traditional doughnuts, because doughnuts are trendy and delicious.
• Heart-shaped bacon — to get the perfect heart shape, use two slices of thick-cut bacon to create the heart shape. Form on a sheet pan and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool just slightly before transferring to a plate.
• Sunny side-up eggs — these eggs are real, we swear! If you have it, use a mold to create the perfect shape. We just trimmed the edges while cooking to get the perfect egg look.
• Cream cheese.
• Sausage links.
• Fresh fruit — we opted for raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.
• Pop-Tarts — we were feeling nostalgic at the grocery store.
• Cheese — harder cheese worked best for this board since we were putting it right on the table. We chose sharp cheddar, Munster and smoked Gouda.
• Hash browns.
• Mixed nuts.
• Syrup and jam — these are the sauces we used in our letters, but, as I said above, feel free to get creative or serve some more on side dishes around the board.
